All I Want Is Everything!
Last week I visited The Cupboard Café in Dillard, Georgia. Jackpot! My meal was served with a spoonful of southern charm, and the roadside eatery housed a gift shop, showcasing local authors' books, handmade jewelry, coonskin caps, and t-shirts. Barnie's Coffee was tucked in the corner, waiting to wake my road-rashed eyes, and a candy counter spread with mouth-watering fudge promised to spike my blood sugar! With dozens of flavors, how's a girl to decide? Maple, rocky road, peanut butter fudge...I wanted them all. It's the same in life. Everywhere I look I see someone to meet, somewhere to visit, something to create, offer or achieve. Here are five things I strive-while-alive:
1. I want to meet other writers. Surrounding myself with likeminded people, where we can build, nourish, encourage and support each other and our dreams will surely lead to growth and fulfillment.
2. I want to visit Italy again. Because once just isn't enough. There are numerous countries I want to see, but I yearn to return to the country of love, where the cobblestoned streets lead me through history, the vineyards provide magical landscapes, and a stroll through a piazza sparks stories to be written...
3. I want to create a novel. Preferably an I-can't-put-this-book-down bestseller with a captivating cover, memorable characters, and an evocative story that lingers for a lifetime. Being a writer feeds my soul and I hope my stories will do the same for those who read them.
4. I want to offer an ear, a shoulder, a hand or a hug to those in need. Giving to others provides life's greatest rewards.
5. I want to achieve success. Not on the world's terms of fame and fortune, but in the contentment of my heart and a legacy to pass down.
There are just so many things in this big wonderful world, and--by golly--All I Want Is Everything.

January 20, 2013 at 3:57 PMYou will meet the people, make those trips reality, and create that novel. In my eyes, you've already fulfilled number four. :)
As far as success? With your drive and talent, that is a given.
