Savannah's Bucket List
Savannah's Bucket List
What to put on my bucket list?
How big is the bucket and
will Mark Wahlberg willingly get in to said bucket? I’ll work on that and get back
to ya! For now, I’m going to indulge
myself and list the top five over-the-top things I’d like to do before I kick
the bucket. Realistic goals would be boring, as I’d wish for health, comfort and
happiness, so let’s call it my bucket-list-o-indulgence!
1. Set foot
in every country on earth. I would more than likely have to live to be two
hundred but man could you imagine my snow globe collection? However, I would
settle for England, Ireland and Italy (Tuscan province specifically).
2. Become a
certified adrenaline junkie. I’d like to do it all; space dive, sky dive,
shark dive, and base dive. I’m a big ‘ol baby when my feet are more than say—a
fraction of a nano-meter off the ground. (Ask my neighbors how I looked taking
down my Christmas lights this year). But I would at least like to try sky diving though I
would need to start saving for therapy for my PTSD!
3. See my
novel become a box office sensation. It’s my dream to crash a big chain
book store and see T-shirts, coffee mugs, magnets, pens and inappropriately
placed undergarments with my book title all over it. But I would settle for a publish book in any way shape or form.
4. Be in a
movie as an extra--or the lead role. Heck, I wrote the book, I might as
well get a small part in it! Though I do have a bit of experience just no IMDB
page--yet. Anyone seen Jackie and the Beanstalk from the 48 Hour Film Contest?
5. I’ll be
sentimental on number five. I want to be the best nurse I can be and
touch the most lives I can in this tiny amount of time we have here on earth.
If I don’t get to the rest of my list, the one
thing I want is to know I made a difference.

I, too, would like to see your novel become a box-office sensation. More to the point, I'm dying to see it as live theatre :-P I've no doubt it will do well, that you'll be an amazing nurse, and that you'll travel much. And we know for certain my husband will be making more cheesy films. You're on your own on the skydiving, though. Even the picture makes me dizzy!
January 8, 2013 at 12:57 PMWow, what a list, Savannah.
January 8, 2013 at 9:38 PMI've been fortunate enough to visit a few countries, but no where near all. England, Ireland and Italy are still on my list. Venice awaits! I'll pass on the adrenaline junkie thing, but am so with you on having any one of my books become a box office success. After the whole NYT thing, of course. I don't know about lead role, or even supporting, but what a hoot to do my own version of the Hitchcock cameo!
What an entertaining read! Bucket lists are fun--especially when we actually fulfill them. I am scratching one off my bucket list this year. I'm going to Italy with my sister. I've been saving every penny of my book royalties. It will happen! Thanks for sharing your dreams Savannah...hmmm which makes me add another thing to my list. I want to see Savannah Georgia, visit all that beauty and historical buildings. :)
January 8, 2013 at 10:23 PMMaggie, maybe we'll colaborate one day on the stage play. I owe Shane a part; I'll write in a zombie character just for him!
January 9, 2013 at 7:06 AMSherry, I've only been to Paris so far which is breath taking and intoxicating. I didn't want to leave. I can only imagine what Italy will be like!
J.M., I'm jealous! Take lots of pictures to share! As for Savannah, GA-I feel a road trip coming in next time you're down to visit our lovely Cheryl!
Hi Savannah!
January 9, 2013 at 12:01 PMI love your list--especially if you omit the adrenaline junkie part. LOL I'm a chicken. ;)
Traveling to each country would be incredible, starring in a movie would be so much fun, and I've no doubt you'll be published. As far as making a difference? You already have.
Nursing School is so worth it girl! You will do well!
